Corry 14, Oilers 9
Corry scored on a 37-yard interception return in the second quarter and a 65-yard run in the third. Luke Klena booted a 25-yard field goal for the Oilers io the opening quarter. Quarterback Brett Heber scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth period. Sam Heasley ran for 80 yards.
Strong Vincent 16, Oilers 8
Strong Vincent scored on a fourth-and-goal from the 4 with 15 seconds left to break an 8-8 tie. The Oilers took an 8-0 lead on Luke Klena's 6-yard run and Sam Heasley PAT in the first quarter. The Colonels tied the game on a 35-yard run with 5 minutes left to play.
Oilers 19, Meadville 6
Brett Heber scored two touchdowns and Logan Lantz returned an interception 70 yards for another score. Meadville led 6-0 at the half. Lantz's interception return and Luke Klena's kick in the third quarter put the Oilers ahead to stay. Huber scored on runsof 4 and 68 yards in the fourth quarter. Heber and Sam Heasley each rushed ror more than 100 yards while Ryan Muldoon spearheaded the Oilers' de4fensive efforts.
Brookville 34, Oilers 24
Mark Kulinski threw a pair of tuchdown passes to Logan Lantz, but it wasn't enough to overcome Brookville, which jumped to a 13-0 lead. Blaise Rex returned an interception 65 yards in the second quarter to get the Oilers on the board. Kulinski's scoring passes to Lantz covered 5 and 7 yards. Sam Heasley scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Oilers 41, A-C Valley 8
Luke Klena scored touchdowns on runs of 10 and 1 yards and added a PAT. Klena also kicked three extra points. Sam Heasley scored on a 40-yard run. Other TDs were by Brett Heber (2 yards), Chance Rice (10) and Mark Hutchinson on a 15-yard pass from Mark Kulinski. Hutchinson also intercepted a pass.
Oilers 24, Franklin 0
Sam Heasley scored two first-half touchdowns on runs of 39 and 25 yards. Luke Klena made it 18-0 at halftime with an 18-yard TD. Brett Huber caught a 20-yard TD pass from Mark Kulinski in the fourth quarter. Coach Matt Miller lauded the defensive line. DT Brian Fleming recovered a fumble.
Oilers 36, Moniteau 19
Mark Kulinski threw four touchdown passes, two to Mark Hutchinson covering 50 and 40 yards in the first half to lift the Oilers to a 14-6 lead. The others were to Sam Heasley for 6 yards and Logan Lantz for 25 in the third quarter. Luke Klena scored on a 45-yard run in the fourth and kicked two extra points and ran in a PAT. Coach Matt Miller singled out the defensive line.
Oilers 29, Titusville 12
The Oilers sprinted to a 22-0 halftime lead, opening the socring in the first quarter on a 45-yard touchdown pass from Mark Kulinski to Brett Heber. Blaise Rex returned an interception 45 yards for a second-period TD and Kulinski passed to Sam Heasley for the PAT. Kulinski threw a 30-yard scoring pass to Logan Lantz later on in the quarter and then found Heasley for the conversion. Titusville's first TD came in the third quarter on a pass before Heber scored on a 20-yard run. The Rockets scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter. Lucas McVay had a fumble recovery for the Oilers, who will visit Karns City on Oct. 31 for their finale.
Karns City 13, Oilers 12
The Oilers were plagued with penalties in their season finale. They scored first on a 66-yard screen pass from quarterback Mark Kulinski to Brett Heber. The extra-point kick failed. Karns City scored on a 20-yard run in the second quarter and a 3-yard run in the third to take a 13-7 lead. The Gremlins could have added a had another touchdown in late in the first half, but the Oilers made a goal line stand on fourth down and inches.
The Oilers pulled to within one at 13-12 on a 33-yard run by Luke Klena in the fourth quarter, but the two-point conversion pass fell incomplete. The Oilers finished with a 5-4 record.
