Strong Vincent 36, Oilers 0

Eric Lawson recovered a fumble for the Oilers . The coaching staff lauded the running of Andrew Fritz and Bill Klena. Vincent led 16-0 at halftime.

Harbor Creek 16, Oilers 14

Steve May threw a pair of TD passes for the Oilers, one to Ben Koyack for 35  yards and the other to Dallas Williams for 20. Dan Bouse ran for a PAT.

Coach Dick McIntyre lauded the running of Bouse,Eric Decker, Cody Johnson and Bill Klena and said the tam played well defenisvely.



Titusville 44, Oilers 14

Daniel Bouse scored a pair of second-half touchdowns for the Oilers on 3-yard runs. Steve May scored a PAT. The Rockets led 20-0 at halftime. Coach Dick McIntyre lauded the play of May, Logan Carson and Ben Koyack.

Franklin 14, Oilers 0

Plumer
Franklin scored on a 37-yard run in the third quarter to break a scoreless tie, and added a 64-yard run for another TD in the fourth quarter. Steve Plumer had an interception for the Oilers. Coach Dick McIntyre lauded the running of Dan Bouse and Cody Johnson and the entire defense.







Oilers 27, Slippery Rock 8

Steve May scored a touchdown and passed for another as the Oilers posted their first win of the seaon. The Oilers took a 14-0 lead in the opening quarter on Chris Kline's 2-yard TD, Cody Johnson's PAT and May's 30-yard pass to Logan Carson.

May scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter to make it 20-0. Noah Ray scored on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter and B.J. Ray kicked the extra point.




Meadville 33, Oilers 16

The Bulldogs led 20-0 at the quarter, but the Oilers rallied for two second-period TDs to get to within 20-16. "The score didn't indicate how well the kids played," coach Dick McIntyre said. "We played well defensively, but had a couple of breakdowns." Logan Carson caught two 35-yard TD passes for the Oilers, the first from Steve Plumer and the second from Steve May. Plumer passed to Kyle Winger for the first PAT, and Cody Johnson scored the other.




Warren 32, Oilers 28

The Oilers closed a 24-6 first-half deficit to 24-22 at one point. Cody Johnson caught two TD passes, the first frrom Steve May for 35 yards and the second from Steve Plumer for 40. May and Plumer combined for 125 yards passing. Bill Klena and Joe Hopwood each scored on 2-yard runs. The Oilers finished with a 1-6 record.
