2008-09 regions finalized


Oil City will move to an eight-team Class AA Region 3 for football for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

District 10 finalizede regions for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 cycle Jan. 23.

The only change in the original proposal was switching Maplewood from Region 3 to Region 4. Maplewood is moving up from Class A to Class AA this cycle.

Titusville and Slippery Rock also willmake the move to Region 3, joining Greenville, Hickory, Reynolds, Sharon and reigning Class AA western regional finalist Wilmington.

Oil City, Titusville and Slippery Rock formerly played in Region 5.
