Richardson and Mike Brophy set up four of the Oilers' seven touchdowns against Youngsville...Both Youngsville TDs came in the third quarter against Oiler sophomores...Jack McGraw scored 2 of his 6 touchdowns in the opener...Don Alsbaugh, Ted Ossoff, Frank Hajduk, Ross and Frank Dloniak also hit paydirt against Youngsville...

McGraw's 52-yard interception return in the last minute gave the Oilers their win over Greenville...Bill Zyck punted 6 times for a 41-yard average in that game, including boots of 51 and 58 yards...

Center Al Ward, who would turn 20 the following Tuesday, closed his scholastic career against Warren...McGraw's TD climaxed a 30-yard drive after Zyck threw a Warren ball-carrier for a 10-yard loss on a bad snap from center...

McGraw also scored the game's only TD against DuBois, this one on a 1-yard run after Chuck Rudisille blocked a punt and Jack Hicks recovered the ball on the Beavers 14...DuBois held the Oilers on its 7 earlier...The Oilers didn't make their first substitution in the game until four plays before the final whistle when Ross was injured...DuBois made only four substitutions during the game...

McGraw scored on an 18-yard run after a fumble recovery by Zyck to cut a Meadville lead to 13-6...The Oilers then blocked a punt on the Meadville 23, but were stopped on downs...

Headline in The Derrick: "Oilers Play Corry Tonight in Season's Final Owl Game"...That means their final night game...The Beavers threw only one pass, but it went for the game's only TD...

Only 500 fans turned out at Carter field in Titusville to watch the Oilers' 7-0 victory...Ross scored from the 1 and Brophy kicked the point...Jim Kennedy blocked a punt and recovered a fumble for the Oilers...Zyck also blocked a kick and ran 49 yards to the Titusville 17 on a fake punt, but the Oilers fumble on the next play...

Ted Ossoff scored the Oilers' only TD in the season finale against Franklin, which was played before 3,000 at Mitchell...Franklin's TD came on a blocked punt...The Oilers were at the Franklin 2 when the game ended...Franklin also stopped the Oilers on downs at the 6...Mel Snyder had an interception to close the first half, and a 20-yard punt return just before the game ended...

The all-girls drum and bugle corps played at halftime of Oiler home games...The Oilers finished with 1,146 yards rushing and 112 passing, completing 12 of 51 with 8 INTs...
