The Oilers trailed Greenville 8-6 with 1:16 to play when Sterner threw a 39-yard  touchdown pass to Gary Davis. Then Mel Britton's INT set up a 5-yard TD run by Sterner to ice it...The Oilers beat Meadville on Gary Moore's 1-yard TD with 9:46 left. Moore was filling in at RB for the injured Randy Loudon...Steve Clark and Bill King blocked a 40-yard field goal attempt by Meadville's Ed Powell in the first half...

Barscz led Oil City with 409 defensive points, including 72 total tackles, and 4 sacks. Deets was second with 393 points, including 59 key tackles and 99 total tackles...Deets forced 3 fumbles, and Sterner and Deets each caused 2...Bill Aams recovered 4 fumbles...Sterner made 4 INTs...
