Two starting RBs, Ted Kaufman and Mike McNerney, broke their
legs during the season. Kaufman's injury came against Franklin -- a week before he scored 3 TDs against Warren...McNerney went down in the Greenville game...Meanwhile, Barscz was playing with a broken knuckle part of the season...
The Oilers trailed Greenville 8-6 with 1:16 to play when Sterner threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Gary Davis. Then Mel Britton's INT set up a 5-yard TD run by Sterner to ice it...The Oilers beat Meadville on Gary Moore's 1-yard TD with 9:46 left.
