Chris Conway's 177 yards in the opener was the best rushing total by an Oil City back since 1975 when Gary Frantz had 182...The Oilers totaled 261 yards offense on only 25 plays against Grove City...Bill Weber got off punts covering 57, 41 and 44 yards against Grove City...Future Pitt backup point guard Pat Cavanaugh QB'd Grove City...The Oilers' TD against Titusville came on a hook-and lateral. Steve Anderton passed to C.P. Mooney who lateraled to Chris Conway on the play, which covered 76 yards...
